Neural Network Therapy® emerged as an alternative to traditional talk therapy, largely in response to advancements in neuroscience. There was a time when science believed we had finite number of neurons and when they died, they died. We know a whole lot more now.
Simply put, a neural network is a habit that’s formed in the brain, on purpose or by accident. These neural pathways produce some form of emotional response at varying levels of intensity.
We are emotional creatures. When we find ourselves feeling stuck, this most often means old wiring conflicts with a new experience. Trudging uphill to create a behavioral change is old-school science. Creating shortcuts in the brain makes up the entirety of what we do.
NNT® is a series of exercises intended to develop new and improved pathways in place of old unwanted ones. These are simple and stack onto one another like building blocks.
